These terms apply to all tours and services booked with Avid Borneo.

  • Managed by: AVIDER ADVENTURE TRAVEL SDN. BHD (1451435-D)
  • MOTAC License: KPK/LN 10652

By paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. Last updated: [20 October 2026].

1. Making a booking

  • Send us an enquiry and we'll provide a written quotation and itinerary.
  • Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you a booking confirmation.
  • Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) per person, twin share, unless stated otherwise.

2. Deposit and balance

  • A deposit of [30%] of the total price is required to confirm your booking.
  • The balance is due [30] days before your tour starts.
  • For bookings made less than [30] days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Some permits (such as Mount Kinabalu climbs and Sipadan diving) must be paid in full when booked.

3. Cancellation by you

Cancellations must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp). The following charges apply:

  • [60] days or more before departure: loss of deposit
  • [30–59] days before departure: [50%] of the tour price
  • [15–29] days before departure: [75%] of the tour price
  • [14] days or less, or no-show: [100%] of the tour price

Climb permits, park permits, flights and some lodge bookings are non-refundable once issued.

4. Changes to your booking

We'll do our best to accommodate changes to dates or itineraries. An administration fee of [RM 50] per change may apply, plus any extra costs charged by hotels, parks or airlines.

5. Changes or cancellation by us

Occasionally we may need to change an itinerary because of weather, safety, permit availability or circumstances beyond our control. We'll offer a comparable alternative or a refund for services not provided. Mount Kinabalu climbs and river cruises may be shortened or cancelled by park authorities or guides for safety reasons.

6. Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all guests. It should cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, cancellation and the activities on your tour (for example trekking, snorkelling or diving).

7. Health, fitness and safety

Please tell us about any medical conditions, mobility needs or dietary requirements when booking. Guests must follow the instructions of guides and park rangers at all times.

8. Our responsibility

We carefully select our suppliers, but we are not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay or extra costs caused by events beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, strikes, government action, illness or the actions of other suppliers (such as airlines).

9. Complaints

If something isn't right during your trip, please tell your guide or contact us straight away so we can fix it. Any complaint after your trip should be sent in writing within [14] days of your return.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
